Any experiences with LSU, BYU, or Adams State College independent study classes
#1
Has anyone had any experience with any of these? How long did it take you to complete (if can average hours a week also) and how long for them to grade final and send transcript to your college?

Looking specifically at UL history classes, but any experience would be appreciated. TIA

From your list....I took a couple of classes from LSU. All-in-all, they can be completed at a self-paced basis and require a moderate level of input. You can then order a copy of the transcript sent to whatever school you like.

My son is taking UL WWII from LSU. Four books, (2 from library), selected chapters, 16 lessons. Two-4 pages of essays each lessons from 1-2 questions. Up to 3 lessons can be submitted each week but he is keeping pace with just one lesson a week. It's not the reading that is pacing him, but writing concise essays. Currently on Lesson 2.

I took the Public Speaking course from BYU and really enjoyed it. No problem having it transferred to COSC.

My youngest son took Public Speaking, Fitness and Lifestyle Management (proctored test), Studies in Literature -Christian Fantasy (proctored test) and is currently taking Creative Writing through BYU.

All classes easily transferred over to Southern Nazarene University. All were good quality courses that he enjoyed.

I took Fraud Examination from LSU. It was self guided and fairly easy. The staff were nice to deal with. I did not get transcripts yet.

Good luck.
