Any cheap Humanities or Liberal Arts courses?
#1
I realize most of the things that get posted here relate to business, computers, or maybe healthcare. But I was wondering if anyone knew of any cheap or free options specifically in the humanities or liberal arts?

Non-credit certificate programs tend to be for continuing education, which is why they're focused on vocations. There are many free Bible courses, which falls under humanities.

Depends on what college you plan on attending. Sophia has quite a few liberal arts courses. So does Study. UMPI has an entire bachelor's degree - BLS. The BLS is the Bachelor of Liberal Studies.

Just because, as I said, most everything talked about leans toward stem. But not everyone cares for stem.

Are you looking to complete a degree? There's plenty of liberal arts courses out there. STEM doesn't cover business which is what a lot of people on here get degrees in. Many STEAM/STEM courses are liberal arts. Science and math are liberal arts.

Same question. Are you looking to gain credit or no, just for fun?

Business and healthcare are not STEM. Psychology and physical anthropology are STEM and liberal arts. The natural sciences and mathematics are STEM and liberal arts. Some institutions consider computer science to be a liberal art because it's theoretical and basically mathematics.

While there are some credit options posted in this sub-forum, most of the free and very low cost courses are going to be non-credit. Non-credit courses are usually, but not always, for skill development.

This sub-forum does not repeat NCCRS and ACE credit options that we're already aware of, such as LawShelf. Law is humanities, and LawShelf courses are free. If you want credit, you pay a small test fee.

The sub-forum for cheap ACE and NCCRS courses is linked below.
