I am considering taking Finance 301: Corporate Finance with Study.com which was approved to transfer to my school UMGC, however, looking at the required content of (100 points) Quizzes, (30 points) Assignment 1 (1,000-2,000 word essay), (30 points) Assignment 2 (1,000-2,000 word essay), (40 points) Assignment 3 (1,000-2,000 word essay), (100 points) Proctored Final Exam - I am not sure with the work load and possibly not achieving higher than a 70 is worth it. I am trying to take as many classes as I can through Straighterline, Sophia, & Study.com to graduate as soon as possible. Has anyone taken this class and have any feedback or advice?

You can't fail these UL business Study.com courses. Let me repeat you can't fail these business UL courses!
The quizzes give you the answer and give you 3 tries to get 100%, it's easy.
On the assignments, suck it up buttercup, and just write the damn essays. They are fair in grading, don't try and write a masterpiece, just follow the rubric. 3,000 words at 500 words per hour are about 5 hours of writing.
Once you score 70% average on the essays, you only need 40% on the final to pass. You get 3 tries on the essays if you need them.

It seems like a lot of work, but it's less than a comparable one at UMGC. And at the price...this will save you so much time and money, it's crazy not to do it.

You're right! I was probably just being lazy with the essays because I suck at writing them lol.

What now? I never knew you get 3 tries at the assignments/essays, is that so? LOL, I always have done just one try at the assignments, but for the quizzes, you do get 3 tries, you can get 100% on the 4th/5th or 6th try, but if you score lower, the system will only take the highest score of the first 3 tries... so if you have 40, 60, 80 on the first 3 tries, your score would be 80 on that one quiz.
Last but not least, you get two attempts at the final but it will cost you that "second exam/month" and I think you have to wait at least 3 days before it opens... I haven't tried that yet but that's what I recall, so yes - in short, it's very hard to fail, but as long as you get 70% or higher, you're done, please shoot for 90+ though, but settle for anything higher than 70.

yep. check it out... "If you are unsatisfied with your score, you will be able to revise and resubmit your assignment(s) twice. You are free to resubmit an assignment within two weeks of your most recent exam attempt or at any point if you have an active college accelerator membership."

You should take the practice exam before attempting the final exam.
Generally speaking, you should score within 10% of the practice exam grade on the final. So if you score a 70% on the practice exam, this means you will likely score between 60%-80% on the final exam.
