In addition to looking at the resources above, you could take any or all of the 3 Saylor courses that are currently recommended for NCCRS credit:
National College Credit Recommendation Service (NCCRS) « Saylor.org – Free Online Courses Built by Professors
The courses are Business Law and Ethics, Corporate Communication, and Intro to Western Political Thought.

That is how mine transferred. Intro to Bible Study and a Religious literature and theater course transferred to Humanities, along with an Intro to Poetry course. They were both moved around a bit as I mapped my evaluation, in Gen Ed electives for a while, I bumped them down to Free electives once, then back up to Humanities. They fit in all three categories, depending on how I wanted to use them. It should be the same now; my last few moves on the eval were right before my graduation application, which I submitted around August of last year.

That is great that my Bible credits will transfer as electives.
The "big-3" I keep hearing about, how probable is it that they will take me as a student? My GPA is only a 2.3, but I do have good SAT scores and a year of college under my belt.....If I hear back from all of you that its a decent chance at all of them, I will be applying to all of them by the end of this week!
What happens if I get accepted?
I was looking at that degree forum and it is really, really awesome. I think the BSBA options from TESC is what it looks like I will be doing. Can someone explain the different kinds of BSBA offered at TESC? For an example I was looking at this link Sanantone's BSBA General Management - Degree Forum Wiki
How do I start??
Thank you so much everyone!

I'm about to make some minor adjustments to that plan soon. The math requirement has been lowered to college algebra and it has been confirmed by some members here that Saylor courses and a new ECE are accepted for the BSBA. The general management specialization is the most flexible one and the easiest to test out of. You can't completely test out of the other specializations. The business core is the same for all BSBA programs, but the area of study is different. TESC offers specializations in accounting, computer information systems, entrepreneurship, finance, financial institutional management, general management, hospital healthcare administration, hospitality management, human resources/organizational management, international business, learner-designed area of study (this is where you design your own specialization, but TESC is picky), marketing, operations management, public administration, and real estate.

Okay! So you think if I went the General Management route it would be the easiest to test out of? Could you explain to me why next to some of yours it says straighterline and clep?
I wish there was a college-like grid sheet for the General Management degree which has the schedule like outlined on the website ( BSBA in General Management Degree Program) and next to it the tests they took to get out of it.

I listed all of the options for each exam so you could choose between CLEP, Straighterline, DSST, ECE, TECEP, Uexcel, etc.

Oh, alright that makes sense now.
Could someone possibly outline the risks with the idea of testing out of the degree if I was in the BSBA in Accounting? I would very much like to go with that degree path - but only if it would be possible to accomplish that only through testing and the alternatives outlined throughout this forum. Has anyone done that?
I want to thank everyone who has commented on this, this help has been tremendous.
Thanks,

Several people on the forum have completed the accounting degree. Straighterline offers 3 accounting courses accepted by TESC. Penn Foster offers several ACE-approved accounting courses. Some people have taken the LSU independent study courses. You can't completely test out of the degree.

One risk is that you might find it extremely difficult to get hired. Accounting starts off with two courses, managerial accounting and financial accounting. Typically in each of these courses you do a practice set, a gigantic accounting problem that takes weeks of work to complete. Why might not doing a practice set keep you from getting hired? Because you probably aren't competent without those experiences. Accounting credits without practice sets is like nursing school without starting IVs, passing meds, listening to heart and lung sounds, and cleaning up poop.
Accounting is more than debits on the left and credits on the right on your T accounts. It's also about reading enormous quantities of dry statements and organizing them into documents according to GAAP.

That is some wise input, thank you for that.
I don't think I will be going into any field specifically pertaining to accounting - I just thought it might look better on a resume than just "general business" but I don't know if that is true.
I called TESC and filed the application! How do I start now?? It feels crazy that I am doing this already but I am super excited. Does taking the basic classes at first (such as the ones offered with CLEP) to get accustomed to the feel of the tests? or is it recommended that I take a couple of the General Education and a few of the Core Business?
At a average/fast pace how many should I be studying and doing on a weekly basis?
Once again, all of your information has been great and I am very, very grateful.
Thanks!
