Does anyone know if any of the DSST tests count towards either TECEP courses Business Policy, or Business in Society?
I was just wondering because I saw that there's a DSST that is called Business ethics and society and just wondered if that would count instead of the TECEP Business in Society?
Thanks.

Yes, DSST business ethics and society does meet the requirement for business in society. Unfortunately for business policy you either need to take the TECEP (which I highly recommend!!), TESC course, or you can take a business strategy/strategic management course elsewhere and transfer in (of course you will need approval for whatever course you take outside of TESC).
I noticed recently Penn Foster has a new, ace approved (3/1/11) business strategic management course (bus-425) that TESC might accept it. Note it has the same pre-reqs: MAN301, FIN301, MAR301, and LAW201. When I read the description it seemed to also have a good amount of busy work; nonetheless, it still may be a viable option for the course.

Thanks bricabrac! I am so enthused to hear that the DSST Business ethics and society fills the requirement for the TECEP business in society. That will save me soo much time and work!
Also, would you happen to know if Penn Foster has an Auditing course?

Not sure, here is the link to the catalog. If you find one, check ACE to make sure it's approved.

Okay, thanks. It doesn't appear that they have it... I wonder if there's somewhere else I can get it from...

Are you interested in a 12 wk course? If so, TESC offers auditing as an OL course Thomas Edison State College/ Auditing=

Well, if I have to do it as an online I can, but it costs more than a test-out type, and it takes more time.
I guess LSU has Auditing but are they legit?

You might be able to find an independent study course on auditing, but not a test-out type. The course would have assignments and exams, but might not have a set schedule, discussion assignments or group work.
The LSU course should be fine.

Do you know if the TESC online Auditing course or the LSU course takes longer? I really don't care about price at this point, my main concern is getting it done in the shortest amount of time possible.

For LSU, find out the number of lessons listed in the course description. They only allow you to submit 3 lessons per week. Then add some time for the number of proctored tests required. This will give you the minimum time for completing the course.
