Answer on Meteorology
#1
This is the answer below from Jessica regarding the question if the Meteorology class would satisfy UMPI requirements without a lab:

She can do Meteorology to fulfill the other science requirement she will need with us. She will still need the BIO with lab if she is taking the Meterology.

Thanks for the confirmation! It's too bad it's been listed as applying to the lab science requirement when it doesn't, but now we know.

Thank you so much for getting this clarified!!! At least now we know for sure.

So at this point, I will just do SDC Bio with Lab since I have the other Science reqs fulfilled.

I appreciate your help!

I might have asked the question differently: "the transfer sheet shows that SDC's ESCI 104: Intro to Meteorology meets the lab requirement. I just want to verify this before I take it."

Never say things like "it doesn't have a lab, but will it meet the lab requirement?" Don't offer up info that goes against what you want them to say!

This is part of the earlier conversation that I didn't post....You need a lab science not just a science.

Study.com site shows that Meteorology transfers to UMPI as ENV 120 which is correct (See below).  This is not a lab science.

I'm going with ss20ts opinion that Meteorology will likely not fulfill the lab requirement for everyone.

This is based on the fact that UMPI hasn't been consistent with what has come in in the past, such as some courses came in UL for some and LL for others.  They also have made significant changes in a short amount of time, and even that database changed within a week.

I'm sitting here giggling at your post. Made me think of a little yelling I told you so at their parents for something. LOL

Thanks for confirming! If Biology is not your cup of tea, and Chemistry is, you can get that done at Study.com as well...
I would recommend Bio though, it is easier. Both have labs by Labster at $69/lab now...
