I took it last week and scored a 62. I did the 3 Peterson's tests online (free) and scored 45, 55, 68. I also did the written CLEP guide practice test and scored a 62. I never took a Literature class and haven't been in an English class since 1990. I read over the answers/explainations of the ones I missed. It wasn't that bad. Common sense and reasoning allows you to eliminate a lot of answers. I finished in an hour. If you are basically a good reader/writer you should be able to pass it.

Just passed this test with a 65 today. I gotta say....easy. Pretty much mirror all of the advice given for this test in here already. Yeah, I browsed some literay terms/devices. I did the Peterson's free practice exams just to guage how things will be. Finished with 30 minutes left. In my opinion...very easy. And I HATE....HATE reading that old English style mumbo jumbo.
