Analyzing and Interpreting Literature???
#11
I only used the REA book. Time wise I'm not sure, but I did all three practice test several times. It got to the point where I pretty much already knew the answer(s)

I wasn't worried what I actually scored on the practice test, I was more concerned with getting the "reading style" down to where I was used the some of the passages that had words that were missing a letter, in an unusual context, capitalized or some other weird punctuation that was used.

DEFINITELY go to instacert and become a member so you can have access to the A & I Literature flash cards. If I had know A&I was available, I would have used the flash cards.

As for scheduling, I called my local CC and asked what day(s) were available for A&I CLEP, got the days and was testing two days later. I could have scheduled it from 3 days to several months away....

I registered over the weekend and gave myself 30 days to be ready for it. I now also have Peterson's practice tests to use along with the REA book so hopefully I should be ready. Afterwards I'll sign up for instantcert for the rest of my tests. Congrats again!

THIS is an example of why members of the forum often say that there is no one "easy" test. From reading justlookin's posts, I would have said the s/he would have no problem with A&I. See? I'd be wrong. (Not the first time.) If other forum members know when they've reached the point at which they'll pass a DSST or a CLEP, or get a specific score, etc., congratulations to them. Me? I just take it. Fortunately, I haven't failed anything. Yet. It would probably be a comfort to you to know when you'd studied "enough," but I can't provide that comfort. Good luck with the exam. Scheduling it is probably a good plan.
