I would like to echo some of the statements about this test being quite easy. I read about it on here on Monday this week, and decided to try this exam. I completed the three free practice tests on guidnace net with scores of 72, 72, and 76. I took the test this evening and scored a 72. I looks like the practice tests were quite accurate in showing the level of understanding of the material.
Anyone that needs a quick humanities test, this was a good one for me.

Thanks for the info. This was going to be one of the next tests I was going to take. I felt kind of leary about it but I guess I will give it a shot. Did you study at all for it?

Wow, great score! This is one of those "You either get it or you don't" type tests. I found it helpful to google some of the terms I was not familiar with as I took the Peterson practice tests. I was so relieved to earn 6 credits for basically no study and NOT have to take the dreaded Humanities test (Not really an artsy type guy). I think I had a total of 2-3 hours prep for this and went for it, nowhere as good of a score though..... Great Job and continued success, Lee

Beware of this exam! I took this exam a few weeks ago and got a 52 (miracle)...... I took this exam cold ............. Everyone made this exam out to be a "Layup" ....... I completely guessed on just about every question, I had zero Idea of what I was doing......I think I just got lucky! I definitely recommend some type of Prep for this exam .... probably not much, but some! Good Luck!

I took AaIL, like alot of people, without any prep. It was a breeze as i missed no questions and got a perfect score.
The basic principle is just to gauge your reading and comprehensive skills. Read a paragraph, answer a question on a word. Read a paragraph, pick correct explanation of a sentence. These skills that the test is designed to stress come in very handy on all tests. Using these skills, I can take a test with no idea about the subject and still manage to pass with a good grade(not all the time obviously, but about 90% of the time).

recollection .... This exam is basicly ....read the passage ....answer the questions about the passage......I did somehow manage to pass this exam ...... I have no idea how..... One of things about the exam that really startled me was that some of the passages were written in "old English, Shakespearian language, what ever it's called" ....For example "Thou art be to thy name like a flower on a hill" .... I have no idea what that means! Keep this in mind when preparing for this exam....good luck to all!
