Then...in the fall of 1998, at age 27 and with no warning, I was diagnosed with a life-threatening, chronic illness. I will have it for the rest of my life. I had two emergency surgeries. I have been hospitalized 13 times including once for a year and a half. I've made 4 attempts to go back to school, but have completed only 4 classes. To add insult to injury, I found out that, due to the nonstandard way they were recorded by my original college on my transcript, other colleges won't accept the challenge exam credits I earned. So I needed to CLEP the same subjects before moving on. Fortunately, I seem to be making progress again, so I am banging out exams left and right for as long as my good run lasts. I know it won't last forever.
Get your degree done before you have an unforeseen disaster hit your life. It could happen to you this afternoon.
Wow, I admire the fact that you are keeping at it. Good luck to you.

I can definitely relate to your "situation." Glad you are all here to keep my procrastination genes in check. It is amazing how much "invisible friends" can help you along the way. Thanks to all.

Well here is an update on my progress. I found out about a week ago that I didn't pass Advertising. Some of you may have remebered that I was pretty confident after taking and I still am befuddled a little but decided that pride still comes before fall:o !!
I also found out that even if I had done everthing as scheduled I would have probably still missed the October dealine for graduation. I still have the petal to the metal and took Business in Society yesterday. I have Sales management scheduled on September 5th and hope to take Precalculus by the end of September.
I want to thank everybody who has posted encouraging advice and also those who challenged me to press on. ( I really liked cookderosa's post!) I especially appriciate all of you who have been praying for me and helping me keep my focus above! You guys are the best!!!!! May God bless you all!

Farmerboy,

It's horrible how the fall seems to come. I have had a handful of exams myself that felt really wonderful in the test, only to find out later that the felt wonderful and I finished fast because I missed an entire section of the exam.
Best of luck with finishing, you're doing great!
