Already unhappy with this

If you haven't already email TESU today and have them add the official evaluation for the BA in English - they often do it within 24 business hours, and having an official evaluation allow your planning accurate to make it real.  Share with us what they put where (in case they misplaced a few things) and know that there are plenty here who have the knowledge to get you those UL credits and only want to help.

Actually, I recommend you share your existing credits even before the official TESU BA in English evaluation (I don't recall you posting them for help with a degree plan) - I wouldn't want you wasting your Study.com scholarship credits on a degree path you hate.  Use them for courses that will help you get what you want.

Which schmoop come in as UL do you know?

I liked the BALS idea and was going to suggest it myself. What is the reason you want the specific degree in English?

I ask because I was wondering if you'd want to study English at the master's level, and, if so, if masters programs would accept the BALS. I bet they would, right? Plus, you'd still get to do a lot of writing with the BALS, it seems to me. Especially if you are eligible to use portfolio assessment for any of those credits. I like to write too, and was able to parlay that into 18 portfolio credits for my degree.

Regardless, I'm very sorry that you're unhappy. The process can be frustrating and difficult at times. Took me FOREVER to finish my degree, and to even decide which degree I should get. So I get it.  Cry
BSBA/Accounting TESU (2016). MSA UIUC (2018).

Need help with portfolios? I earned 18 credits at TESU through portfolio evaluations. Nine of those were for upper level accounting courses. My advice for PLA/portfolios: TESU portfolio tips The first post has the Portfolio Checklist I created. Page ten has the actual narrative I wrote to receive credit for ACC-440.

Using Straighterline's Financial Accounting as a substitute for TESU's Intermediate Accounting I? Don't do it if you are an accounting major and/or want your CPA license. They are not the same course and I think TESU has erred in accepting the SL course as Intermediate I. I made this discovery here: Intermediate Accounting II.

I think that most people who enjoy reading and writing or English classes will find the necessary CLEPs easy.

I wouldn't expect to finish the Shmoop ULs as quickly as the other poster. They can be frustrating, especially at first when you are new to their style of questioning.

I guess I can type up the credits I have and where the TESU automated thing put them for the eval.

Be sure to include any listed in the Other Courses (aka earned but not applied) on the bottom of the page.  This forum often comes up with creative alternative plans you may not have even thought of when they're provided with the full picture.

Also when you post them start a new thread, asking for a plan recommendation(s), as it could get lost on this one.

Just an FYI, Psych isn't humanities, it's a social science.

And for what it's worth, I would never spend time and money getting a degree that I didn't want.  Not a dime.

Life's too short. Make the English degree happen if that's what floats your boat. Anyone who really knows how to write seems to do well most places.
