Just wanted to take a quick minute to say thanks to all the members of Instantcert that participated, provided feedback, encouraged me and others through their experiences. I have 2 classes remaining that I can't test out on so I'm all done with DSST's and CLEP's (i've taken 20 of them).
It's been real, it's been .....well who am I kidding it was a pain in the arse but you all made in manageable.
Thanks and I'll chime back in when I officially become an educated member of society.... soon

Twenty tests? Not shabby. What are the two classes remaining?

I was thinking the same exact thing!

(This post was last modified: 06-13-2013, 07:19 AM by drozx12.)
I have to take English Comp 102 and the Capstone.
With that being said can anyone recommend the straighterline comp 102 class or is there a "better" one to take? I'm signing up to take the capstone for the july 1st term and would like to start the comp course immediately with straighterline or someone else so that i can be Done Done by August (when capstone class will end).
Any guidance or recommendations from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Also costs for the classes are not an issue (job pays) just wanted a not too painful eng comp 102 class to take cause I'll be taking the capstone most likely at the same time and I assume it'll require some of my attention.
Thanks in advance for your feedback

I took both Eng Comp I and II at SL. It's really not that bad. You do not need to purchase any books, just read Frankenstien. I actually bought on amazon ebooks for like $1.00 or something crazy low like that. It is alot of reading and quizes and midterm like test on Frankenstien. If you need any help let me know. Good Luck!

I missed where your going to school, guessing TESC.
Why not take the CLEP that equates to 6 credits Eng, Comp 1 and 2, seems like that would exceed the requirement.
If your at COSC the DSST Technical Writing counts as Eng Comp 2.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

I go to Excelsior and if I recall correctly I thought my advisor said that I couldn't test out of it because there wasn't a clep/dsst that would satisfy that requirement. If i'm wrong that would be good news.

Pg 29 of the EC CBE book does appear to exclude College Comp from the requirement

So I think your adviser was right.
