Hi all,
Long time lurker, and first time poster here. I spent the last year, on and off, reading all the helpful posts in this forum, and am almost ready to take the plunge.
I'm in a niche field that doesn't require a lot of formal education and still pays very well (E-Discovery/Legal Technology), but to go C-Level, I need that one weakness on my resume (the lack of a college degree) to disappear.
I took the CLEP: Principles of Management, and CLEP: Principles of Marketing exams as a dry-run and passed them fairly easily. So, I think I'm ready. This is the year that I plan to take down this whole college degree thing that's been on the backburner for the past 10 years.
I'm hoping to get some help from the wiser heads on this forum: How can I align the classes needed to the CLEP/DSST exams available?
Basically, I'm trying to test out (as much as possible, and as fast as possible) for a Bachelor's in Business (General Business). I've read through the forums and have a general idea of the units needed. But how can I tell which CLEP exams will satisfy which class/credit? Is there a list available somewhere? Something that will say, along the lines, "...exam XYZ will be the equivalent of class 123, which will satisfy, requirement ABC..."?
I found an old post by a great user (Jackbanta) which provides the following list of exams as an example for a Bachelor's degree.
Is the below still valid? If I'd like to substitue out a certain subject (don't like science much), how can I know which exam would be taken as an equal?
And a side question: I have my PMP certificate, and started seeing that Excelsior will count it as credit now. Anybody know which class the PMP can help eliminate among this list?
Many thanks everyone!
