Aleks Intermediate Algebra at TESC
#1
I need a math or science course for my BA plan, and Aleks is cheap. I already have college algebra on my transcript from my AA. Will Tesc count Aleks intermediate algebra since it is a lower level course?

I think so - I have heard of people taking both the ALEKS Intermediate Algebra and College Algebra courses and receiving credit for both. Double check that with someone else, though; I'm not completely positive.

Yeah, I did that. They transcribe as:
Intermediate Algebra - MAT 115
College Algebra - MAT 121
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

Also, if you're up for it, you an also dip down lower and grab the 6 credit CLEP Math too. You can count all 6 college math plus intermediate ALEKS plus your College Algebra without duplication (12 total). Any math overflow goes into your gen eds and any gen ed overflow goes into free electives.
