Materials for MIS DSST
#1
I just took the Intro to Computing DSST and want to take the Management Information Systems DSST as well since I've heard that there is overlap between the two tests. However, after doing some research, I am having a very hard time finding resources for this particular test. Most of the books I have found are either way too expensive or extremely long in length. I was wondering if anyone could give me any suggestions as to what materials you used for this test? I plan on using the Instant Cert flashcards, but besides that I am lost! Thanks!

I failed this one a couple years ago before I knew about this site. I know for certain that I could have passed it using the flash cards and the specific feedback alone. Make sure you check out the 13 pages of valuable feedback and look up everything mentioned. There is also a 12 page study guide posted by Julia in the feedback. I plan on taking this one again soon and am confident that the feedback will make all the difference.

Back when I took that exam, here were the two resources I used:

My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

I used the 10th edition of "Management Information Systems" by Raymond McLeod Jr and George P. Schell. Covered everything I needed to know to pass the exam.
