After you pay for your degree evaluation and they give you the document which explains what you still need to complete a B.A. in whatever program you selected on the application, do they have a program that allows you to see what would be required if you changed majors?
I hope that makes sense?
At my current college, there is a pull down bar that allows you to go see what requirements would remain if you switched to a degree in something else...

Not unless they've added it recently, which is possible. It would show in your myEdison. In NJ, Ocean County College does have this, so I know exactly what you mean. If they haven't added it yet, they should!

Yes, you can do that once you receive your initial academic evaluation.
Here's a screenshot:
The notice at the bottom says: "This is an UNOFFICIAL evaluation. If you officially change your degree program, adjustments to the number of applied credits may be required"

Keep in mind that this "what-if" evaluation does not change your "active" program. However, if you find that some other program might work out, but your not sure which one to work to completion, under certain scenarios you can have more than one active program. E.g. I have 2012-2013 BA Music and BALS as active programs. I intend to complete the Music, but if I can't find the right upper level course to finish it before my tuition runs out, I can then switch to the BALS for graduation. It's unfortunate that I only requested that the BALS be added to my active programs because I would also have been eligible for the 2012-2013 BA Humanities degree, but I looked at this too late to make it an active under the old rules and would now have to earn it to the 2013-14 catalog which changes Gen-Ed reqs on me. A friend of mine tried to have the BSAST and the BALS both active, but this was not acceptable, so if he switches he'll come under the new Gen-Ed reqs too.

Thank you! I'm glad to here you can do that. I was worried that if I wanted to make a change, I'd have to request another eval and there'd be another waiting period.
That's good to point out regarding the new requirements and the "active" programs. At my current college it also does not change the active program. You would still have to meet with an academic advisor to officially enroll in the alternate program. I haven't done anything at TESC as of yet. I'm just doing a lot of research. I can't wait to find out what has changed with the implementation of the new rules.

This is a great thread! I was sort of wondering the same thing. TESC never returned my call about the question I had regarding the scholarship I applied for, so I was thinking it would be hard to get an answer for this. Its great to know its a built in feature!
