Hello all,
Ive read over some threads and gained some valuable advice from you all, so i will start off by saying thank you for your contributions. I currently must pass the Humanities and Natural Sciences CLEP, all before the 24th of this month. I have been using InstaCert for humanities for a few days now, about 3 hours a day. I am having good success with the flashcards, however that is my only source of studying. Is that enough? if Im doing well on the flashcards, is that all I need before taking the CLEP? I dont want to take and fail it, so its important that I pass, but I just dont have the luxury of studying for an extra week or so. I have to start studying for Natural Sciences by mid-week to get that one too.
ANY help, advice, and tips would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Dave

Did you take any practice tests, and if so, are you making reasonable scores?

Take them again! I do that as a before-and-after measurement. I remember taking the official CLEP guide's practice test for humanities. Try to find a CLEP humanities study guide (REA for example) at your library. Sometimes they're hidden in a CLEP general examinations guide, like Barron's. If your library catalog provides access to Peterson's exams, try that too.

I never took the Natural Science exam, so I cannot comment about that particular exam. I took the Humanities exam about a year and half ago. In addition to the flashcards I used the Official Clep 2012 Study Guide (for the practice exam), the REA book (came with a cd-rom with two practices exams) and I paid the $20 for the 3 Peterson's practice exams. It was my first Clep so I wanted to be super prepared. There was also a spreadsheet that another user created that was in the Humanities Specific Feedback that was helpful in targeting the most important info---find that and use it for additional studying.
I agree with Snickerdoodle, I would try and do as many practice exams as possible for the 6 credit Clep's and read the feedback sections for both exams for the most current info from other users.
Good Luck

Thanks guys. Its unfortunate that I have to cram them in such a tight window, but I have an open schedule and am studying all day! I'll look into the spreadsheet you mentioned!

Does anyone know if the questions are multiple choice? Or fill in the blank?

Both tests you mention are multiple-choice. If you have not read over the exam descriptions of each exam on the CLEP website, I would suggest doing this ASAP (that is also where you would have found the answer to your question).

Davidh,
Have you used the information available in the Feedback Forum? I found the comments extremely helpful and enabled me to focus my study in the right direction as opposed to studying everything.
