Accessing ProQuest, OpenAthens, Sage, Taylor & Francis, etc?

I'm totally lost here, and really hoping you all can help. I'm in my first writing course at TESC, and my NJ State Library card just arrived in the mail today. So far I've manage to figure out how to sign up for ILLiad, but it looks like that's just for requesting things from the circulation desk. I see a list of databases, but it seems really limited. When I am on Google Scholar I come across some articles/dissertations that seem like they would be great, but I can't figure out how to login to access them! Generally they are through either ProQuest, OpenAthens, Sage, or Taylor & Francis. I see a few ProQuest databases listed from the NJ Library link, but it doesn't seem to be all of their databases. Can someone please tell me what the secret is to accessing all of this great information? I'm starting to feel old and much less computer challenged than I once was... banghead
