Academic Evaluation with different catalog years
#1
Question
Recently requested some new academic evaluations because I was debating on switching things up and going for a double area of study and while I didn't flat out request that my catalog get updated to 2022, I hinted at it and I'm okay with it. Actually, I'm going to have to put a request for them to do so that way it works in my favor but that's another story.

Last night I noticed something odd when looking my new evaluations over, so I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same thing happen to them. All of my degree evaluations have the catalog year of 2021, but the certificate evaluation has the catalog year of 2022. I've seen the catalog year switch to the current catalog whenever I run the "what-if" evaluations and like I said, I plan to have them update me to the 2022 catalog regardless.

Just thought it was odd that I would have two different catalog years when I requested the additional evaluations are the same time.

If it was a certificate that wasn't already in your account, then it is new and the old catalog wouldn't be an option for it. You can shift some things around like going from BSBA Marketing to BSBA Accounting and keep your catalog. I think the rule is (or used to be) that you could change your degree and keep your catalog if you stayed within the same "school" at TESU.

I think that adding a new degree (or cert) always means a new catalog.

Hmm since I had them add new degrees, but it was within the same "school" at TESU which is probably why they kept me on the old catalog for those and I guess it's possible that the cert is from a different school so that's why it probably has the new catalog year. Okay, that makes sense, Thank you very much.
