Hey everyone,
Anyone take or is studying for the DANTES Astronomy test? I'm not doing so hot on the flashcards, I'm looking for tips on what to study.
Any help is appreciated...

We have this one planned for the spring and as always we plan on looking up all the items on the forum feedback on Wikipedia. Maybe that would help.

I passed it last week. Forum feedback is key. Just keep plugging away at the IC cards. For me, this was the most interesting subject.
75 credits in four months using InstantCert.
B.S. Liberal Arts, Excelsior College,
cum laude.
Plus, one Washington Post blurb
here.

I took this one about a year before DANTES changed their scoring system. I used the Idiot's Guide and the Astronomy SparkNotes card. Didn't really need anything else.

If you are a new member, perhaps you do not know where to find the Specific Exam Forum, but you must be a paying member to access this. It is quite helpful for all of your tests, as it goes beyond the IC study material. The forum members who have taken the various tests before all post results and areas on which to focus, other study suggestions, the additional material that assisted them.
Once you have signed on the first time, you then sign in again in the upper right hand corner with the same information. There were 3 forums and once you do this there are now 4 -- the 4th is the one that is specific to various exams. There is also a second search engine to the right, where you can check that specific forum for the specific test(s) you are interested in.
Good luck and happy hunting!
