My daughter got rejected as a transfer student to the local state university. This with a 3.8 GPA. Her college career has been a little rocky. For health reasons she had to drop out of another state university after her first year. She then filled all the holes at the local CC, and applied at a closer state school to home.
Luckily, she had met with the Dean of the English dept last year when trying to plan the last of her courses. He turned out to be an alum of the school she had to leave. He encouraged her to contact him if she had any problems... So she did. He explained that because they didn't have an articulation agreement with that OTHER state university system, admissions decided to deny her application rather than make any effort to evaluate her credits!
Thank goodness the Dean is stepping in and writing a letter evaluating her courses. Hopefully that will do the job. They might have screwed up her schooling royally. She needs to live at home, but doesn't want to lose any more time getting her education done.
Everyone cross their fingers for her!
