Cool that they've got a new math. Not so cool that it has FIVE proctored exams. Yikes!

Ew. LOL Yeah 5 proctored exams doesn't sound fun. It will be interesting to see if this course transfers anywhere. Many colleges won't accept a College Math course. They want higher level math unfortunately.

I think it would work at TESU and COSC - at least for some degrees. It might work at Excelsior.
But why go through 5 proctored exams if you can do CSM Learn instead? Or, for COSC, take something like the College Math CLEP exam.

Many schools only require a 100-level math course like College Math depending on the degree. Any of the Big 3 for BALS/BLS degrees and non-business degrees like Psych or History or English. UMPI (they take SDC's College Math or Quantitative Lit) Both of my kids' AAS programs just need 100-level math.
One of my kids would hate the 5 proctored exams, while the other would be perfectly happy with it. I wouldn't mind either. Unless it's an issue with the proctor like ProctorU which is a real pain, I wouldn't think twice about a course with multiple proctored exams. It wouldn't bother me in the least.

UMPI's GEC requires College Algebra or Stats. Been there done that. I also needed College Algebra or higher at EC.

I'm looking at it right now, and there are other options (MAT 104: Quantitative Reasoning, MAT 140: Math for Business; MAT 166: Concept based Math for Elementary Classroom Teachers); and I've heard that they will take Study.com's MAT 102: College Math or MAT 107: Quant Lit for their math requirement.
EC will also take CSM Learn, SDC's MAT 97: Intro to Mathematical Reasoning or MAT 99: Essentials of Algebra and Stats, and Sophia's Foundations of Stats for some degrees.
So it may have been your degree rather than the school that had those requirements; but those schools will definitely take courses other than College Algebra and/or Stats for their math requirement.

I've been the BLS at UMPI and Math for Business and Concept Based Math weren't options for me. College Math was also not accepted. I had to have College Algebra or higher. You specifically said the BLS in your previous post.
EC would not accept anything less than College Algebra when I applied in 2020 for the BPS in Business.

I said " Any of the Big 3 for BALS/BLS degrees and non-business degrees like Psych or History or English. UMPI..." A specific degree was not mentioned at UMPI. It was listed as a school that will accept something other than CA or Stats depending on the degree.
And the EC BPS in not one of the ones I listed. I said a BALS or BLS. The BPS specifically requires "College Algebra or Stats" and one requirement, and then "Intermediate Algebra or Higher" for it's second requirement. Those are requirements of the degrees, not of the school itself. The BLS does NOT require College Algebra or Stats at EC.
Like I said, MANY schools will take something lower than College Algebra and/or Stats, depending on the degree. I stand by it. I can list dozens, but I won't.
