APUS Question
#1
I was checking out admission requirements for APU's MBA program and it states:

"If you have a non-business-related bachelor’s degree, or you have a bachelor’s degree in a business program that is NOT accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), or the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), your required first courses here will be:

BUSN601 - Global Business Management
BUSN602 - Managerial Analysis
BUSN 603 - Quantitative Analysis

Does this mean if I have a TESC BSBA degree that I would have to take these 3 prerequisite courses? As far as I know TESC's BSBA is not accredited by any of those associations.

BSBA - TESC 2014

Taking it at face value, that's exactly what it means. Which is kind of absurd. Everyone has their own prereqs to take but to me, there are better programs out there that won't try to pull such a blanket money grab. You may have to take the GMAT as part of their application process but it is much easier than forking out what likely equates to around $2500 for this. Don't get me wrong, if your undergrad is in a non-business field it's understandable but otherwise, if you completed your CBOK through CLEP / DANTES testing or actual coursework, then that should suffice. It did for the 2 AACSB accredited programs I've completed.
I m edumakated thanx to distunce lerning.

I think those courses are part of the MBA not pre reqs. They replace your electives with a business core that preps you for the rest of the program...so not exactly a money grab. But I only took a quick look and might be reading it wrong.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.
