My sister got an ALEKS account. She's trying to get the credits before ACE accreditation expires. Can't figure out for the life of me how to request a new assessment? I know it's on the master account, but I can't seem to navigate the portal. Would greatly appreciate any help.

I started this journey in the summer of 2016. I hoped to be done sooner, but I am still proud of the rate at which I have gotten my schooling done with respect to the many months of military training and deployments I have undergone.

Log into your master account, look at the bottom for your student account.
Under Reports, click Progress Report.
Scroll all the way to the bottom where it says "Request a new knowledge check" and click that.
Next time she logs into the student account, it will automatically start her test.
Best of luck to her!

That does not seem to be working. It's giving her some small portion of the test and not giving a final grade at the end of the test. Maybe ALEKS has just changed since I've used it? Doesn't seem right though.

They did update and change the menus (look and feel), unfortunately; I'm not sure where those menus are as I've not used ALEKS in a year.

Just tried it. Gave me a 7 question test with a % increase (went from 61-63% in Stat). It's more of a grind, for sure, but it's still doable.

What makes you think it's not working? Progress Report- Request a New Knowledge Check should work. On your pie chart - divide out the percentage - has it gone up? It varies but you normally get a new knowledge check every 5 hours of coursework, automatically. Note that knowledge checks mostly cover sections of the pie you have worked on since the last knowledge check with just a few unfamiliar questions. Each knowledge check is keyed to your progress only and does not cover the whole course. Getting 100% on a knowledge check merely confirms the work you did on the pie chart and might advance you a slight bit more but it isn't going to morph you out of the course - ever.
