Hello all,
New guy here! Anyhoots, I just finished intermediate algebra through ALEKS and scored a 79 on my first assessment. I registered with ACE and am waiting for credit approval. I notice the info ALEKS has on a student is very limited. Other than a username, email and the name you register with, they really dont have much info. So how is it that ALEKS is able to verify exactly who ACE is inquiring about?

When you register for both sites you ued your real name, then they look up your name and check it aginst there data base, then check if you passed the assessment. As long as you get 70% you will get the ace credit within a day after having ace check aleks.

Just to be clear, if you score over 70 ON THE VERY FIRST TEST, you pass? I'm over 100 hours into one of the math classes (not stupid, just slow) and thinking that I should've started a few levels down. Also, someone wrote that they could take the course assessment whenever they chose (can't find the post now). I'm getting them after every 10 hours in the system. How do I force it?

In my opinion, 100 hours indicates you should be in a lower level. To give you a comparison, a 3 credit course at a community college is 48 hours. Before you jump ship, what was the score on your last assessment? Are you under 50? You can get credit for Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Pre-Cal/Trig, and stats. If you enroll at TESC you can also add in the College Algebra CLEP for 6 more. If you go back now is up to you, but you might want to consider it.
Also, to force an assessment, go into your master account and click the assessment option. It forces the student (you) to get one next time you log in. And yes, if you get >70 on your initial assessment you have passed.

Once you can see the accepted course on ACE then you can change courses. Usually takes one business day (or in my experience about 1-3 business hours).
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

Hello
I am trying to sign up for Aleks and take the college algebra course and it is requiring a 10 digit course code from my school. I intend on going through TESC and have applied a few days ago. Would anyone know what the 10 digit course code is?
Thanks in Advance!!!!

so if I took an initial assessment and it says I know 170 out of 311 topics?? do I just have to get 70 percent of my pie filled blue to pass?????? If you get a few questions right it bumps your pie 1% but that doesn't seem right. Do you have to redo an assessment tes??I don't see a lot of instruction on this site. Also it gave me 2 log ins. one as a master and the other as a student. its a little confusing.. anyone? anyone? bueller? bueller???????
