Am just begining to prepare for DSST Intro statistics and was wondering whether Aleks cd help me prepare for the test or is it an independent exam for which credit can be obtained? Am competely ignorant and will appreciate any helpful info.

I just did some research on this myself. ALEKS is an online program that you pay $20 a month for that teaches you Algebra, Trig, Geometry, Statistics, etc. A bunch of different courses. Check out the list at
ALEKS Course Products.
A few of the ALEKS courses (the ones with asterisks next to them on the course description page) have been awarded ACE credit, which means that your educational institution might decide that they fulfill some of your degree requirements (always better to check with them first).
However, if you'd instead just like to use it for a month or two to brush up for a CLEP/Dantes/placement exam, then you can use it for that, too!

Thanks for the info,a great help.I would like to use it to prepare for the DSST statistics if need be; i have just discovered a free course with a content comparable to the DSST;still testing the waters..i should share more on the specific exam thread if i find it helpful.
