I have not yet applied or enrolled at EC yet, and don't plan to until I have a majority of my exams completed. I want to take Algebra and Stats from ALEKS and Info. Lit. from Penn Foster. Can I just open a ACE account and have the completed credits sent to them, and then have ACE transfer all credits to EC after I apply?
Also, what the cheapest and easiest way to to complete the W.E.R. requirement? If not done through EC, can I do it as described above?

You can also try Straighterline for both classes at $99 Algebra I and English 101 and they will work for EC credits.

EC seems to require 6 credit hours for English writing and has told me over the phone my CLEP w/Essay will go toward Humanities and not this.
My community college will send a transcript that also reflects a Professional English writing credit course. So that would count as 3.
I also took a speech class that required a lot of writing with all of the reules and regulations, and I will see if they will show the same notation, but...
JUST IN CASE, what are suggestions if you only need 3 more writing credits for Excelsior?

Unless Excelsior has a new policy on this issue, this is how it works:
1) Three English Comp credits are required to fulfill the Written English Requirement (WER). CLEP English Comp cannot be counted towards this, so you have to find another way to earn the three WER credits.
2) You are only allowed a maximum of SIX English Comp credits in any degree program. With three of those six credits already accounted for by the WER, there is only room for three more credits of English Comp. As a result, only three of the six credits actually earned for CLEP English Comp are able to be applied as English Comp credits.
3) The remaining three credits of CLEP English Comp will therefore be applied as Humanities credits.
Hope that helps,
Snazzlefrag
My name is Rob

THANKS!
