My son took and passed the ALEKS Intermediate Algebra this morning on the initial assessment. It took him 2 hours, 11 minutes, slowly working straight through the initial assessment. The blue line says 82% and that he mastered 406/494 topics . I submitted the transfer request to ACE. Do I need to wait for ACE to show it approved before moving him on to College Algebra? Am I reading ALEKS correctly and that he truly passed? I could not find the actual score of the initial assessment, but I saw the pie chart and I saw the blue line showing 82%. There is no green line.
Will ALEKS and ACE do this transfer today or is it likely we'll be waiting until Tuesday (Monday is a holiday) for this credit to be approved and transferred? I'd like him to move on to College Algebra today if he can, without messing up the Intermediate Algebra credit.
I came to this forum researching for my now 17-yr-old son who was earning credits via testing and online courses. He completed TESU's BUS-421 in March 2018, the capstone for the TESU BSBA GM degree. Below are the courses he took:

Sounds like you passed. You should get an email from ACE at some point in the next.
You should be able to move on. You could call Aleks and ask them to confirm.

ACE will contact Aleks to confirm the information. I would not switch to Alg if it is not confirmed by ACE first. You should get an email confirmation. You can also look on the transcript.

When we did ALEKS, I never-ever-ever changed classes until it was on my son's ACE transcript. I've heard so many people here say it's fine....but remember that ALEKS doesn't save your stuff, so losing proof of the credit is NOT fine. I never took the risk. (I know time is tight, but I'd still wait)

I would wait too. I wouldn't take a chance. My daughters are almost done with Beginning Algebra and Intermidiate Algebra. ALEKS is awesome. I hope they renew.

Honestly if I was concerned about not finishing in time meaning the end of the month, I would pony up the money and just start a new subscription if that is super important to you. Sometimes it's better to hit it while you are still hot! Keep the momentum going!

i would suggest to also wait until ACE approves it. But if you really want your son to start with the College Algebra today, make sure to print out his report. Make sure he have his information and it shows that he actually passed the course. If I remember mine correctly, i have the passing grade with the blue line. You can try to appeal to ALEKS later on if ever it goes south. At least you have a proof :-)

Based on the advice here, I will wait, at least until ALEKS tells me it's recorded. We don't always get an email from ACE when the course is approved, perhaps half the time. I phoned ALEKS. No support hours on Saturday, and Sunday's support hours are 4pm-1am eastern. So, I'll try phoning them later today. It figures that I would pick the very beginning of a holiday weekend to get my son started on this. And to the person that mentioned the value of momentum, I agree. My son had momentum and I wanted to capitalize on that, but not willing to risk the credit for it.

Luckily, ALEKS is normally very fast to get these approved. I would keep checking back on his ACE account to see when it posts. Worst is that they don't do it until Tuesday when they all get back to work.
If he really wanted to continue and had time, I would probably just pay the $20 to start a new account and do the next course. Certainly can't hurt, and it's only $20.
