Has anyone on here checked into AIMS's certifications that can be transferred to Taft University's MBA program?
Fall Special!
I'm trying to figure a way to then transfer the credits to a RA or AACSB accredited MBA program. I haven't taken any, but am planning on it. Just trying to plan ahead.
Also, does anyone know much about William Howard Taft University? I know they're DETC accredited, but is very good?
Well I just thought that I'd post the link because the certifications look like they would be very good to get.

It will probably be almost impossible to get an AACSB program to accept RA non-AACSB credits, let alone DETC, or these AIMS credits.
EDIT: I very much doubt an RA MBA program would accept them either.

I"m betting Yenisei is right. They have very strict standards. A lot of their MBA programs won't even accept non-AACSB RA credit for pre-requisites. But as far as NA MBAs go, Taft's does look interesting and the credit would probably transfer to APUS or WGU's RA-MBAs.

It would be interesting if one of the big three accepted these for credit to a Bachelors. There was a time I would have been all over that!
I would love to be proven wrong, but I think the chance of seeing this as Masters credit at a RA school are pretty slim. Someone should check though, if you could use as little as 6 credits it would be a significant find.
The AACSB is VERY restrictive and protective...I think that's a non starter.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

Okay so apparently this probably won't transfer to an RA school, but what about to an NA? Is there anything wrong with an NA MBA? Or with William Howard Taft University in particular?

Nothing "wrong" with it, but an MBA is about moving up in the business world. Accreditation matters always, but even more in this environment. For some jobs even an RA MBA isn't quite enough (they want the addition of the AACBS credential).
When you couple the above with RA MBA's broad online availability and relative low cost where is the real value in a Nationally accredited MBA?
I'm not against National accreditation, but the purchaser should make themselves very aware of what a degree offers in terms of return on investment, both in time and money.
I've never heard of Taft University. The Administrator of my Department and I had a conversation about where to get a valuable MBA just yesterday. He felt that name recognition was an important factor (and he controls the hiring of maybe 20% of this hospital).
YMMV,

I definitely know that these will transfer to William Howard Taft University because the website said so. They've partnered up with the university. They claim that by completing these credits, a student would already be 20% (more like 22%) done with their MBA. Its a 36 credit program that's DETC accredited (which I'd like to more about). Credits at the university are $225 per unit. It would cost $8100 to complete the whole degree, or $6300 if AIMS credits are used. I believe that their is also a $125 extra cost per course. There's also the accelerated grant program which could reduce the cost down to $95 per unit.
If anyone wants to dig into some more of their information, please post what you find here. I'll also keep you posted on what I find.
Thanks

There's also other accreditations that I'd like to learn more about. They are IACBE, ACBSP or AACSB. Anyone have any info on these accreditations and how they're viewed in the real world?
Here's WHTU's accreditation page

Here is a great breakdown on accreditation:
College Degree Mills - What is Online College Accreditation | GetEducated.com
A note from the above reference: "National Accreditation - Limits
Be forewarned that the majority of regionally accredited colleges (greater than 80 percent) do not accept courses and degrees earned at nationally accredited colleges as the equivalent of their own.
If you earn your bachelor’s degree at a DETC-accredited college, for example, the majority of regionally accredited colleges may not accept this bachelor’s degree as sufficient for entering their graduate level program of study.
Careers that are governed by state licensing boards—such as teaching, accounting and engineering—may not accept academic degrees unless these degrees are earned at regionally accredited universities".
Same site view on AACSB accreditation:
Do I Need an AACSB-Accredited Online MBA? | GetEducated.com
Bottom line, why spend the time money and effort to gain a Nationally accredited degree when you can go RA as a minimum and avoid the headaches?
