I am looking to take some ACTFL tests. Do I need the normal $50 listening test or do I need the proctored one?
I have been trying to call ACTFL and their phone line is not working correctly.

Their office maybe closed due to COVID so that could be why you're having issues with their phone. Some offices moved their offices to work remotely and transferred phone calls. Everyone hasn't had success with transferring phone calls.

There are 4 different types of tests, none are "proctored" per se.
LPT - listening
RPT - reading
WPT - writing
OPIc - oral, on the computer (there's also OPI, which is oral talking to a person and costs more)
Depending on which school you want to take these to, I would suggest the OPIc and WPT. We aren't sure how LPT and RPT come in, nobody that I know of has done all 4. These may duplicate the lower level portion of the WPT and OPIc.
