I'm coming back from a long hiatus and see that ACE has moved to Credly and no longer directly handles transcripts. I'm able to login to my ACE account still and view my "bank"/unofficial transcript full of credit from multiple different sources (CLEP, DSST, SL, ALEKS) but there's obviously no longer an option to send them anywhere. I've also created a Credly account, but see no options for transcripts, migrating, transferring, etc. I've been searching for hours and see nothing describing how to get my make my former ACE transcript a Credly one. Anyone able to explain what the hell happened for someone who's been out of the game for years now. I'm thoroughly confused and assume there were many people in this situation already.

<gasp> All Your ACE Are Belong To US! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_your_b...long_to_us
Most providers will need to send you the Credly badges to your email, ACE is no longer where you want to get your alternative credit transcripts, you just need to follow these steps here (depending on the providers listed): https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Ca...%26_Credly

So you're telling me they never offered any sort of migration of current ACE transcripts to the Credly badges? I honestly would have expected that to be automatic, why did I pay them a $20 registration fee for them to basically abandon me.
Crazy that everyone who had not completed their all of their ACE credit for transfers to their College had to go back to their ACE recommended institution and have them resend everything to Credly.
I'm a little worried now, I've logged into my ALEKS account and don't see any record of my completed courses.

Not only that, but some providers decided to not work with Credly (or they are long since out of business), and those credits are just lost.
ACE really screwed this whole thing up, and never tried to rectify anything.

@troutsniffer, I wouldn't worry about too much in regards to the 4 alternative providers you mentioned, CLEP/DSST, ALEKS/SL, the reason is ALEKS/SL is in the list of providers within the link I had sent you earlier. If you're talking about other providers that have gone out of the ACE market or disappeared completely, then those are going to be harder to get, I would forget them.
If you've taken the bulk from ALEKS/StraighterLine, CLEP/DSST you should be good to get the Credly. Furthermore, instead of creating another thread, update this thread here, you should complete the last post addendum and template here, the more info the better we can help you: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works

Yeah, you'd think. I only "lost" two credits in the migration, others lost many more credits. It really sucks that ACE was basically useless during the whole process, and continues to be useless about Credly badges.

Same.
ACE really dropped the ball on this one. Seems like they were lazy. Thank you for your money and we are out. They should have just MOVED everything over automatically.

The one I was worried about was ALEKS as they don't transfer directly to schools. I completed their transfer form and emailed it last night, had a response when I logged in this morning and the badges loaded into my account. Appreciate everyone's input, sad to hear about ACE's behavior during this whole thing.
Just add this as another hurdle in the alt education path outside of the schools. Seems the big 3 have made it progressively more difficult nearly every semester for years now. I remember when TESU granted UL credit for 200 courses and the Big 3 had no transfer limits and limited or no residency requirements. They've nearly lost all their appeal when compared to other online schools now like WGU and UMPI. If the Big 3 keep it up, we'll have to start referring to UMPI and the Big 1.

ACE will send the old transcript to the school for you, you can ask them via email at credit@acenet.edu with recipient information. I got one sent last year Nov 2021 (

).
ACE is also responsible for issuing all badges from a company that does not migrate to credly: they were the ones who issued me a bunch of Shmoop credit on credly

, but for the active credly orgs you'll have to contact them individually. They are processing them manually on a case-by-case basis, realistically I think that this is better than trying to automate issuing all existing credit and inflating credly with pending badges that some might not ever accept.
And the whole process was FOC for me (though I did paid for ACE transcript before)

So there is one Shmoop course I forgot about that was completed in 2019 while it was still valid ACE credit. It looks like it was never transferred to ACE, but I recall requesting the transfer. I emailed Shmoop and asked them to forward the transcript to ACE/Credly and they said sorry we ended our relationship with ACE in 2020.
But you're saying contact ACE directly and they can still process the credit, I'll go ahead and give that a shot. Thankfully it was only one elective course, but still sucks to pay for something and then get screwed.
