Hi all,
I know for some CLEP exams, it says you need an ACE recommended score of 50.
Do you know what a 50 equates to? For example, the Calculus CLEP is 44 questions and passing ace score is a 50. Does anyone know what grade percentage on the clep exam that equals?
Thanks again

It varies by exam, and they won't tell you. They calculate a scaled score based on their proprietary algorithm. All the questions in the test aren't included, but they also won't tell you which ones lol. In short, you have to trust the feedback on sites like this one and feedback of people who have taken the test and what they've gathered based on what they thought. Aim for no less than 60% on practice tests (65% better still).

I saved the following conversion chart some time ago. I don't remember the original source.
CLEP Raw Score Conversion Chart is as follows:
Scaled scores of 58 to 80 are equivalent to an A.
Scaled scores of 53 to 57 are equivalent to a B.
Scaled scores of 47 to 52 are equivalent to a C.
Scaled scores of 41 to 46 are equivalent to a D.
Scaled scores of 40 or under are equivalent to an F.
TESU BA June 2018.
Various business certificates still to do.

It's not from College Board for sure. ACE made a chart, but this isn't College Board's list. https://clep.collegeboard.org/develop-yo...mendations
Also doesn't help convert a raw score into a scaled score.

When you take the test, you get a raw score from CLEP. So knowing the scaled score is not helpful unless you can convert your raw score to a scaled score.

My bad, you're right. Well, it's good to know that I got A's on my CLEP's, even though previous info I had said that they were B's (not sure where I got the info, but it was back in 2014 when I took the exams).
I'm not sure the info is correct unless you get it directly from CLEP directly.

Seconding the 60% threshold. I've taken 4 CLEPs so far. Here are my scores and the rough percentage score on the official practice tests. I used the 2016 Official Study Guide because it was cheaper. Most of the tests haven't changed since 2015, so the older guides are perfectly fine.
American Literature: 60% 58
Marketing: 78% 66
Management 74% 64
Information Sys 80% 72
Its a small data set, but it should give you some perspective.

I know what you mean, but I think you flipped it. You'll get a scaled score- you'll never be told your raw score.
