I contacted Sophia FOUR times in the last 3 weeks, via Live Chat.
12/1 - was told they were having issues, hoped to have my badges in "a couple of weeks."
12/9 - was told "end of the week"
12/14 - was told "end of the week"
12/18 - was told "end of the day"
Still no badge. Not sure how many times I should ask, but this is ridiculous.

I'm also still waiting for four badges. US History I, II, Environmental Science and I believe Managing Conflict. All my other badges are there.
I contacted them twice. Still waiting.
I have other concerns about ACE changing. A good chunk of credits used in my BS degree (COSC) were from Shmoop. I plan to apply for grad school soon and am concerned they (or other grad schools) may ask for the transcripts from ACE/course providers that were sent into COSC that make up my degree. I can get ACE, Study.com, SL, Sophia and DAVAR to send transcripts, but with Shmoop, that will be essentially impossible as they don't provide transcripts and have dropped off of my Credly/ACE transcript. There will be no way to represent those credits/grades if asked.

Generally speaking, when a Master's program asks for your Bachelor's degree, if there are no prereqs, then the bachelor's degree is enough. They are not going to look at every transcript to see what your bachelor's degree was made up of. I'm going to guess this won't be an issue for you at all.

Same. 12/3 made the request for all my badges through chat.
They were very quick and by 12/5 I had all but 2 badges issued . I thought that was kind strange. So on 12/7 I contacted Sophia and they apologized and put in another request. 12/11 I contacted them again and they apologized seen my previous requests and said they put in another request And a special note to tech support and said I should see badges very soon. Today 12/19. Still missing two badges.

Weird because I had also posted about requesting badges on the 3rd and they had them to us by the 5th. I didn't post originally that we were missing 2 courses: the 2 one credit courses, because I just figured we would get them the next day. After a week or so I requested those 2 courses and that was 2 weeks ago. Still don't have them.

(This post was last modified: 12-20-2020, 06:27 PM by FMitchell5036.)
on Thursday 12/17/2020 I contacted the following:
SDC - I requested a transcript from study.com using Online Form and clicked on button Acclaim/Credly and received 10 separate links for all of my classes and was able to add my badges immediately to my Acclaim account which I had to create. I already sent all my SDC classes to TESU and graduated, but I just wanted to have them on the "ACE" transcript.
Sophia - I contacted Sophia and they said they would be sending me the links for my badges within 24 hours. As of today I have not received anything and just reached out again via the chat. Hopefully, will receive by tomorrow or Tuesday.
APA (American Payroll Association) - this is the one that is a problem. This is a certification I passed back in 2006, and the certification is good for 5 years. After 5 years you have to retake the test or earn the applicable number of CEU credits by the deadline. I never renewed and it expired in 2011. I requested an ACE transcript in March 2012 and received 15 recommended credits (now ACE only recommends 10 credits) that I immediately transferred to TESU. I called American Council on Education and they said the the provider of the credits has to issue the badges. I then spoke to someone at the APA and they said they were only issuing badges to people that had their certification CURRENT. Since mine had already expired, she could not issue a badge. I took it up the chain and said this did not make sense and I earned the credits at the time and APA had already verified them and my certification back in 2012. Now that ACE was switching or now outsourcing transcript providers, I needed them to issue the badges on the new platform. She said she would check and get back to me, as this was an unusual case and she never heard of this. UUUUGGHHHHH! I'm glad they were already transferred but I kinda needed them on the new ACE transcripts for grad schools I was applying to. One grad school West Texas A&M wanted to see these credits on the ACE transcript. Fortunately, I decided against this school and this wasn't a problem at UTPB which is the grad school I ultimately chose.

Quote:Hello from the American Council on Education,
You are receiving this email because you have previously ordered a transcript from the ACE Registry and Transcript System for workplace training or courses. As of November 30, 2020, ACE has transitioned our transcript services to Credly’s Acclaim, a digital badging platform where you can share your accomplishments and order free digital transcripts sent directly to schools to receive credit towards a degree.
If you are interested in maintaining your credentials in the new platform, ACE needs your permission to share records of your approved courses with Credly so that you can be issued digital badges in Acclaim. Please fill out the short survey at the link below letting us know if you would like to migrate your course records into Acclaim. Once we have your response, ACE will coordinate with each training provider to issue badges so that you can continue to access official ACE transcripts.
If your credentials are older or the organization that approved them is no longer active with ACE, we may not be able to secure the approvals needed to publish those courses or exams as digital badges. However, even if you know that the providers you studied with are no longer in operation, it is important to us to know if you still need access to your records so that we can offer assistance.
Additionally, you may already have been issued badges for recent courses. If you have received an invitation to accept a badge from Acclaim, click the link inside and make an account to have immediate access to your transcripts. If all of your courses are there in your dashboard, there is no further action you need to take. We know that this process has been confusing for students, and we appreciate your patience as we work to modernize our services and provide a life-long digital credential that will always be freely accessible to you. Thank you!

Just checked my email for this and mine had gone into SPAM! Very frustrating. Thanks for posting about this email because I wouldn't have seen it otherwise. Check your spam folder if you don't see it in your inbox.
