A funny thing happened....
#1
on the way home from the testing center.
I like to listen to a lecture on my way to the center so I can feel productive on the 45 minute drive. After I passed, I planned to take a break from studying for a day or two before starting on my next test. Instead I got back in the car and finished listening to the lecture on the subject I had just passed because it was interesting. Then, when I got to the library to pick out a novel to read for pleasure, I somehow ended up with study materials for my next test.
Addictive, I tell ya. Clicking that submit button and seeing a passing score is such a high.

Amen! I was crazy to be done with my CLEPs and then when I drove away from taking the last one I was like, "Wait a minute, why does this feel so bittersweet?" lol.

And I did the same thing with my Am Lit lectures that I listened to. I wanted to go to Yale just to be in that prof's lit classes :roflol:

I agree! I truly miss it! I'm in grad school, but already looking at some certificates to complete. I have also thought about taking some more exams for fun! My son is getting ready to start testing, so I thought I would study with him and take an exam while he tests. Does anyone know if EC will continue to add exams to your transcript after you graduate? Probably not, but thought I would ask. Keep up the "healthy" high!

They will actually. Check out the section called "Transcript Update Services" on page 53 of the current Student Policy Handbook. It says there is a fee for this. If I recall correctly, the price mentioned on the forum a couple of years ago was $25.

hilarious yes, and before you know it you'll be watching documentaries for fun!?!?!!! And then, you'll say to yourself, "wait, I think there's an exam that goes with this! Maybe I should look into it!?!" 268 credits later......

Here's another consideration. Here in Florida teachers have to have x-amount of credits to keep their certificate. I can give up each and every teacher planning day and/or half day, to take courses that I am not interested in, or I can get 3 credits on a transcript that will count for 60 points out of 150.

Hmmmmmm.... will have to check to see what limitations they may have as to subject matter. hilarious
