There is some pretty good and very concise advice on thie page;

Analyzing and Interpreting Literature CLEP Study Guide - Free-Clep-Prep.com

I would read over the terminology parts just to be sure you are fresh on that sort of thing, but to be honest I took the test today and most of it was just reading the passage and answering questions about tone and meaning, not much terminology, so i wouldn't get too hung up on studying. Smile I made a 63 on the REA practice exam , studied a little bit and made a 77 on the actual test. You can do it !!

I was different. I took the REA tests and they were too subjective for me -- I got a 34 on one! For the Peterson's I think I had similar scores to yours, 50s and low 60s at most. The real test was a joke after the Peterson's. Everything was ridiculously clear-cut and simple, at least on my test. I got a 79 on the real test.

I strongly recommend buying the official "CLEP Study Guide", which is just a bunch of sample tests. But they are extremely accurate. I bought it after I took A&I and the A&I sample is very, very similar to the real test.

If you can afford to wait and get the credit in 6 months, I recommend taking the CLEP today without any further studying. I know, that doesn't seem to makes sense at first, but keep reading. If you can read a passage and figure out the meaning, you are ready. Many people take this test cold and pass it with high scores. You don't want to waste hours studying when you don't need to. Spend 1.5 hours taking it. If you don't pass, make some notes about what you had trouble with and start studying 5.5 months from now and retake the test in 6 months.

My point is that you'll probably pass. Every hour you waste studying for A&I is an hour you could have spent studying for something that requires studying.

This was an easy test. I hardly even studied for it, neither did my brother. It's basically testing your reading and comprehending skills. I give it a try! If you're a big reader, you've got a plus there.

From what I remember, the Petersons were the same difficulty if not easier than the real test. I was scoring in the 50's on the Peterson's and I passed, so if you feel like your ready go for it. Just make sure that you have all the vocabulary terms down. And you can never do enough reading, READ READ READ!!!

Just got back from taking this test this morning. After reading all the feedback about how this was basically a reading comp test, I took it cold...no practise tests, nuthin. The idea that this is college level stuff is really iffy, much less 6 credits worth of Lit. End result? I barrelled through 78 questions in 45 minutes and clicked submit without looking back at anything. I knew when taking the test that two or three were probably wrong but felt that I had answered enough correctly that I didn't fret over it. Passed with a 77.

Seriously, I don't know how one would even go about studying for this test. Read the passage, answer 5 or 6 very basic questions about them and that's it.
