On Monday, I passed the Introductory Sociology CLEP with a 67.

I was really happy about that because I only studied for 4 days. If I'd failed, I'd have had to reconsider my plan to take a bunch of CLEPs and probably would have had to lower my expectations and plan on taking a lot longer to finish my degree.

Here is what I did:

1. I studied InstantCert's flashcards twice.
2. I went through Modern States pretty quickly, although I paid more attention to the questions and the full-length practice test at the end. I got an 83 on that practice test.
3. Finally, I went through the first InstantCert full-length practice test and studied what I got wrong.

Honestly, I did not feel that confident during the test. I took the full 90 minutes. I feel like I'm a pretty good test-taker so I was able to eliminate answer choices for most questions and make educated guesses, but if you're not good at taking tests, then you should probably do more studying than I did.

Thanks to Modern States for the prep and the voucher! It was super easy to apply the voucher on the Collegeboard site and I did not have to pay for anything.

I took Introductory Psychology CLEP yesterday and barely passed with a 52.

I went through the InstantCert flashcards just once and then did Modern States and got like a 95% on their full-length practice test and got overconfident. I think I was really lucky to pass and will definitely study more for my next test.

Next is Human Growth and Development. I am hoping to take it on Monday or Tuesday.

On Tuesday, I passed Human Growth and Development with a 54!

I promised to study harder but ended up only getting through the InstantCert flashcards once again. That, combined with the Modern States course, got me the pass.

The overlapping knowledge from doing all of the psychology-related exams definitely helped. I still felt like I'm doing a lot of guessing, but as long as I'm passing, I don't feel like "overstudying".

Next up: Educational Psychology. My goal is to take that tomorrow or Monday.

CLEPs have become an underappreciated option, so it's nice to see someone taking advantage of them.
