West Virginia schools allow you to petition a PLA for cheap. The cost is $300 and $10 per credit awarded. This is how they tell me the credits are transcribed:
West Virginia University
ENTR 400 Survey of Entrepreneurship CEC 3.0 P
CEC stands for College Equivalency Credit for 3 credits and P for pass.
Once I have completed my PLA I will post on the site a copy of my transcript.

Wow, that's awesome. I think they require 15 credits residency for Associates and 30 credits for Bachelors.
I wonder how much they charge for tuition in total and how much it would be for the Associates or Bachelors.
Thanks for this info.

Its like $1200 a course, but you should be able to use the transcript at the big 3. No different than CSU CBE.
It's a 24 credit residency.

Did you do a PLA at West Virginia University at Parkersburg? What subjects?

I'm starting the course on 2/28, it is 8 weeks long and 3 UL credits at Tech. I'll definitely will try to see how they transfer into one of the Big 3 and will report back. They said it could take 6 months for my portfolio to be evaluated so it will be a while.

Do you need to take a course from them first? How many credits are you asking for? What subjects?
I see this place also has it and some courses that I can do that WVU-P does not teach.
To be eligible for PLA credits, you must be an undergraduate student who has already been accepted into Blue Ridge and completed the admission process.

No you can submit a portfolio without taking the course. I took the course because it's UL which I need and I think it'll be something I can willingly dedicate a lot of time to without getting bored.
There are a ton of entrepreneurship courses, 5 maybe that I will attempt for credit. I have documents galore from operating agreements, company handbooks, corporate formations, corporate taxes, and letters from people who I've helped set up businesses. In fact I have two friends that set up new businesses that always ask me for advice on how they should structure their company or just of need of general advice.
I would assume you can just sign up to be a student do the PLA and wait for it to show on a transcript. If you're going to choose a school for this in WV make it a 4 year school. You know how some schools don't like UL courses from CC's.
Also make sure it transcribes as if you took the course with them. I think that'll help.
You dont want it to say Entr 300 Small Business Management Portfolio Credit 3.0. Each school transcribes differently.

You can petition any course taught at a WV school. It doesn't have to be at the institution giving credit.
