I'm surprised at how low the American Literature pass rate is. Apparently they aren't using IC. Smile

I am in the military and one thing I have noticed is since it is free for us most people either don't study at all or spend very minimal time on a subject. Everyone I have talked to that take the tests don't even know what IC is. I just wish they had a pass rate for everyone and not just the military so I can get a true pass percentage.

That is exactly why the military pass rates are used as a marker of difficulty.

This topic comes up every year these are posted. The free testing throws the numbers off so much that they're almost useless as a valid gauge of difficulty.

It's good information to have and thanks very much for posting the links, but I find this so maddening. I worry that all those in the "FAIL" column gave up after that one exam. A little bit of study could have changed the outcome and motivated them to keep going.

So I was searching through the DANTES site today and came across this page. At the bottom it has links to the pass rates, both military and civilian. I thought they only put out DOD pass rates, so I was pretty confused and intrigued when I saw that.

Ugh... I still recall my supervisor telling me how way back in the day they'd give the exams a try, to at least write a self-improvement bullet for their evals/awards packages just to say they did something, regardless of whether they even passed or not.

Now that I've beaten her in getting an associate's and soon a bachelor's, on top of us having only one try now at these exams, she's regretted wasting her time (12 years in at this point).

I'd like to be part of that 15% for the Principles of Finance.
