Applause; I’m saving all of this for future reference.
This is what many of us have been telling people on this forum. Everyone has their opinions, but the reality is that ENEB has opened many doors for people by offering a nontraditional route to completing their education at the graduate level. It has given many the option (based on any number of Foreign Credential Evaluations) to transfer credits or seek employment. And even more options for Doctoral studies. People can say what they want, but I will not argue with anyone over ENEB when many of us have completed our ACCREDITED doctoral degrees due to our enrollment in ENEB at that steal of a price!
What's the job outlook for DHA degrees? There are so many clinical and non clinical oritented healthcare doctorates, it gets confusing. Or is it more to just complete the goal of getting SOME doctorate?
I went to school for a clinical based doctorate, so I am just wondering.
The outlook for a DHA graduate is excellent. As mentioned, Healthcare is a booming economy. And further, a DHA is a doctoral-level business degree that can be used in various fields in and outside healthcare. There are private, public, governmental and global positions (Hospitals & clinics, WHO & CDC, The United Nations, County Health Dept., State Health Agencies, and a host of other healthcare organizations, including teaching & consultancy) where a DHA can find themselves serving. While some experience in healthcare is a plus, you don't need it in some cases. Many come to the DHA program with other transferable skills from many other sectors.
For example, I have over 28 years in a list of workforce environments: Customer Service, Veteran, Hospital Chaplain, Mental Health Therapist, Private-practice Counseling, Residential Life Dean of Men (K-12 and university), Community Advocacy and Civil Rights, Nonprofit Management, Human Resource Management, Board & Business Committee Chairman, Risk Management, DEIB, Entrepreneurship, and a few other experiences and solid backgrounds that can transfer to any number of positions with a DHA.
Here are 50 potential job positions for individuals who hold a Doctorate in Health Administration (DHA):
1. Health System Executive
2. Hospital Administrator
3. Managed Healthcare Executive
4. Public Health Official
5. Senior Care Facility Director
6. University Professor in Health Administration

The culmination of Semester 2—another chapter in the VUL journey—is a triumph met with both relief and reflection. Oddly, this semester appeared to expand beyond the scope of semester 1 despite sharing the exact structure of two eight-week courses and a single fifteen-week course. While substantial, the academic burden has remained within my capacity to manage despite what sometimes feels like an unyielding schedule. For future students, it's important to acknowledge that this experience is not universal; many peers have been compelled to withdraw or excise from the program due to unmet obligations, suboptimal performance, or involvement in an unfortunate episode of academic dishonesty. Such departures are sobering, and witnessing classmates concede that the program's demands exceed their capabilities opens a window to the profound challenges many face in rigorous academic pursuits.
Maintaining a GPA of 4.0 so far has been a journey of quiet confidence dissected by brief interludes of trepidation, particularly in moments awaiting the final results. It would be lovely to finish Summa Cum Laude — a distinction I am unwaveringly resolved to attain and have released any weight if, by chance, it becomes unattainable due to a misstep. One thing for sure is that 2024 will come with a significant academic win, followed by, I'm sure, a new intellectual challenge on the board.
Happy holidays to all, and best wishes to reaching your goals in 2024!

A 2022 rgaduate posted in the Facebook forum yesterday about securing an adjunct position at Bellarmine University's Health Care Administration program. There may have been an additional connection to the university as they shared not having formal teaching experience. It's still cool to see another graduate securing a teaching position.
I'm not sure if that is a future I'll explore; however, it's an excellent opportunity to have on the board as an option.

Not likely. They briefly mentioned it in 2022 but it never went anywhere. Now they are having financial issues and accreditor warnings, not likely they'll be adding a larger liability to their offering at this point

That's correct, I hope they focus on accreditation and financial issues before they even look at expanding their programs. It should be very stable for students to study at the institution without worry of accreditation or financial constraints that they could face if something was to go down at VUL...

More income from more students may help out briefly, but guess what, there are costs involved that may outweigh those gains, it'll put them more into the red than before... It's still too risky until they've got everything back on track and that they're not in the red... When they become more stable with accreditation and financial issues out of the way, they can expand anyway they want to.

They would have to develop a curriculum, hire professors, etc. None of which is free or low cost. Don't expect to see the DBA happening. I wouldn't be surprised if they're added to the long list of colleges closing. It's becoming a common occurrence unfortunately.

Their allergic to non-local people teaching. Even though Lynchburg has a huge college pool, their wages can't compete with Liberty. Until they decide to allow remote professorships and curricilum builders I think the DHA is the furthest they'll go.
