I noticed if you take the practice quiz before anything else and do well on the practice quiz you don't have to do as many quizzes. If you get a 100% does that mean you have tested out of all of the quizzes? Has anyone ever done this?

They're not the same thing, the practice test is just for that particular chapter/section of the chapter. The assessment or placement test is an evaluation of your overall knowledge of the subject, it can account up to 33% of the entire course just through that assessment. From the courses I have taken, you can continue with the assessment with courses until you hit that 33% and it disappears.

So you are saying with a 100% on the placement test the most you can get out of is 33% of the quizzes.

That's what I recall from the 24 credits I have from Study.com, only a handful of the courses had placement exams, some didn't.

They say you can only get like 30% but I've gotten more than that every time I've done a practice test (which admittedly they've only had one for I think three of the classes I took). Most recently I did the Computer Concepts and Applications placement test and got 50% (43% the first time, 7% more when I re-did the placement test)

I concur. I've also gotten more than 30% from placement tests... particularly if you take the additional ones.

So my question still remains if someone gets a perfect score on the placement test how much of the course does that test you out of?
