There's no update yet, but from the looks of things, it may be downgraded for good...
On Study.com's site, it has a note as a hyperlink, when you click it, it says... Subject to change.
Strange enough, some business courses still has their course continue to transfer as UL.
Most likely because other courses from different providers already come in as UL as well.

The fact that as of today its still being listed as transferring in as UL on the TESU website should count for something in the appeal process if in fact they have changed it to LL (see link below)

wow, i thought Study.com was being irresponsible by leaving up the bad info for so long... but even TESU can't be bothered to update their own site. This whole situation is such a joke.

I agree, so unprofessional. I have no problem with them downgrading courses, but to do it in this manner is very disrespectful. Students are making decisions, and spending time and money, based on published guidelines, and there shouldn't be unannounced changes like this. Plan the change, announce it, modify the published guidelines, then implement the change. That should be the order. Otherwise it is disrespectful and unprofessional.
I'm sorry if I missed it... but has the issue been resolved?

Need help with portfolios? I earned 18 credits at TESU through portfolio evaluations. Nine of those were for upper level accounting courses. My advice for PLA/portfolios: TESU portfolio tips The first post has the Portfolio Checklist I created. Page ten has the actual narrative I wrote to receive credit for ACC-440.
Using Straighterline's Financial Accounting as a substitute for TESU's Intermediate Accounting I? Don't do it if you are an accounting major and/or want your CPA license. They are not the same course and I think TESU has erred in accepting the SL course as Intermediate I. I made this discovery here: Intermediate Accounting II.

The original evaluations will remain valid until the end of the year. What made me even more upset was how TESU changed its residency policy no longer allowing TECEPs and portfolio assignments to count toward the residency requirement. They only gave people a couple of months to take the exams they needed. It was unprofessional and unethical. A lot of their students are on tight budgets.

Forgive me for being dense... but what does that mean? The reason I ask is that I was considering taking those courses if I could get them on my transcript as UL.

Yes, I remember this one too. I can't believe the accredeting bodies let them get away with the way they manage these policy changes. Maybe that's just not something they look into, I guess.

Study got TESU to agree to accept the courses as UL so long as they are completed by the end of the year. That should be enough time for anyone planning to use them to get them done. It sounded like Study might continue to modify their courses to keep them evaluating as UL next year, but no promises.

In the ongoing saga of UL courses at Study.com being downgraded, I received this directly from the University Registrar and Associate Vice President:
Study.com Title/TESU Equivalency (until Dec 31, 2017)
Biology 103: Microbiology
BIO-351 Microbiology
Psychology 104: Social Psychology
PSY-370 Social Psychology
Psychology 106: Abnormal Psychology
PSY-350 Abnormal Psychology
Biology 106: Pathophysiology
BIO-316 Pathophysiology
History 108: History of the Vietnam War
HIS-351 A History of Vietnam War
Psychology 105: Research Methods in Psychology
PSY-322 Research in Experimental Psychology
History 308: Causes and Effects of the Vietnam War
HIS-351 A History of Vietnam War
Education 103: Classroom Management
EDU-319 Classroom Management Techniques
According to this the Vietnam 108 will count as UL through the end of the year. I thought those who have taken it but were told by TESU that it was LL, as well as those who have yet to take the course, might like to know.
I have been putting off enrolling with Study.com until I saw how all of this was going to shake out, since what I needed from them was almost all UL credits. I applied for the Guardian Scholarship after Study.com posted here about courses being accepted as UL until the end of the year, then I received the above email, and then I was approved for the Guardian Scholarship, so everything has come together at just the right time for me.
I am guarding these emails from Ms. Punchello with my life.
