Hello everyone,
I'm considering focusing my testing on completing my ASBA, then work on the rest for my BSBA. I plan on enrolling with TESC.
Someone in a previous thread said 'Some degree is better than no degree.' This makes sense to me.
What do you think? Would it be worth the extra cost?
Say I have all credits for the ASBA and have a partial completion for the BSBA. For whatever reason I need to enroll and get my ASBA could this mess up my degree plan for the BSBA? Or more specifically do you think TESC would mess up the allocation of credits.
I apologize if these questions have already been discussed, I couldn't find the answers in the threads.
Thanks

Hello,
This is my first official post here (although i have been consumed by reading post on here for the last two weeks).
I am 40 years old and looking to obtain a bachelor's degree in the quickest way possible, so this forum has been awesome.
Here is my general plan, I am going for the BSLS at excelsior I have 9 credits from a local community college, and I have been looking at FEMA credits for the majority of the Applied professional credits. I read on an old post that 50 of these credits can be used in this area, is this information still valid? I understand I will have to convert these credits via FCC, which is not a problem, just wanting to make sure it is still a possibility before i proceed.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Jon

So I was one of those homeschooled kids that heard about TESC a few years back. Since then I got a ton of CLEPs outta the way and now I'm finally starting my classes! I just wanted to let you all know how awesome TESC has been to me during my whole application/financial aid process. About 6 weeks ago, I spoke to two different people in the admissions department at TESC regarding the deadline for submitting my FASA, the TESC application for financial aid, and the other forms required to be considered for financial aid from the college for the June 2011 term. Apparently, I was given the wrong information and so soon after I submitted the FAFSA and the application I received an e-mail stating that I had actually MISSED the deadline for applying for financial aid for the 2010-2011 year.
I went into semi-panic mode and called the college. The admissions department was very helpful the third time around and redirected me to the Office of Financial Aid, which was better equipped to help me with my dilemna. The woman I spoke to told me that the deadlines I had been told were in incorrect, and said that she would get the message of my situation to the Director of Financial Aid, who would e-mail me later that day.
Imagine my surprise when the DFA actually called me a mere hour later saying that although I had missed the deadline my two days, she was willing to make an exception in my case because I had received the wrong information and hadn't received a notice from the FAFSA people regarding being selected for verification! She was very kind and helpful to me, repeatedly checking her fax machine and answering my questions throughout the day. That evening, she e-mailed me an award letter which contained both a grant and a direct subsidized loan. What a blessing - threefold! I had been granted a late deadline for my paperwork, helpful college staff that were willing to expedite the paperwork process so I could receive aid, and a just the right amount of FA I needed for TESC!
I just wanted to let you all know that sometimes the people on staff at colleges can make mistakes - they're not knowledgeable about everything, so I recommend that if you have a question that would be better suited to a specific department, ask them to redirect your call. I also wanted to say just how amazing TESC's service is - I'm so glad I chose to go with them, and I'm looking forward to completing my degree with the college!
If you've had a similiar good experience, post up! Otherwise, talk about how cool TESC sounds or how you wish you had my experience!

Hello all,
I saw a thread on here a while back stating that the IPAD was a great tool for studying for clep/dsst tests. I thought that was a terrific idea and started looking into getting myself a tablet pc so that I could use it while on the treadmill or elliptical trainer. The IPAD was a little out of my price range, and after a bit of research I discovered the Nook Color from Barnes and Noble. While officially an e-reader, it does allow internet browsing on the stock models and comes at a price tag of only $ 250.00
In addition the Nook can be "rooted" which means that you can easily tweak it so that you gain access to all of the Android functions, taking it from a reader with some internet functions, to a full function pc tablet. Rooting it was fairly simple and I now have a super responsive pc tablet that allows me to do IC study while exercising in the morning. I it very zippy for internet tasks, e-mail, watch movies etc, and it has access to the whole Android market for apps. Even if you leave it as a stock Barnes and Noble product it is still a terrific value for anyone looking to maximize their study time.
I just thought I would throw it out there for anyone who may be in the market for an IPAD, but feel it's a little too pricey. It's an alternative that has worked great for me so far and I can give it nothing but positive reviews.

Hi Everyone!
I'm preparing to take the marketing communications TECEP and am wondering if anyone has any advice for that exam? I couldn't find a degree specific thread, so I thought I would see if anyone here has any experience with it.
Thanks!
