TESU - Information Technology Certification for upper level course
#1
I looked on TESU site, but could not find anything that show what certification they'll give credit for certain class if I'm already certified. For example, if I already hold a current MCSE, CCNA, VMWare VCP, and all current, are there any credits towards a class, specifically toward UL class.

TESU doesn't give credits for most certs.

If I were you, and had a lot of current certs, I would look into EC and COSC. It may be worth it to switch before going too far into TESU. Depending on how many credits they might give, and if they were UL or LL.

Your certs will also count at WGU. On top of that, you can probably pass a lot of their courses without studying given your pre-existing IT knowledge. I think you'd benefit way more from competency exam approach to racking up IT credits and you already know about SL for getting GE quickly.

It looks like if you took the MCSE on Windows Server 2003 between 5/1/07-6/20/13, that's ACE-recommended for 3cr UL. So you wouldn't even have to have that one as a cert, it would just come in on your ACE transcript.

For WGU unless they changed the policy in the last two years, certs have to be completed within 5 years.

For TESU the certs need to be evaluated by ACE. Microsoft is listed but currently CompTIA, CISCO, and VMWARE are not. My MCSE came in as LL even though it was UL by ACE. If you search here, you will find a thread about my experience with that.

COSC bases it off of the ACE evaluation at the time you got the cert, so I was able to get credit for my Network+ and Security+ even though CompTIA is no longer evaluated by ACE.
