Need suggestion for GPA class(TESU)
#1
Hi Degreeforum. I'm planning to take all classes externally and graduating from TESU(I just read cornerstone is not required with residency waiver)

Here are all my classes I have done/am going to do(feel free to use it as a template to make your own sheet - Original credit to Flelm )
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...sp=sharing

What class should I take so I have a GPA?(preferably one that fits my still to do classes)
The reason being I don't want to have to explain to employers why I don't have a GPA and a 4.0 would look nice on resume/linkedin etc.

Any input would be appreciated Smile

Either Intro to World Religions or American Government can be replaced with Living in the Information Age (SOS-110). The class is super simple (my husband called it a block building class) and you can still actively study for other tests while taking it.

Are you sure about the American Govt replacement? Thanks for the info!

This was found to be false. But it can be waived by transferring in a large amount of credits. I believe it was 94.

Actually, I just looked again, I'm sorry I didn't pay enough attention the last time. Because you have American Government in Civic Engagement, it's not replaceable there. I was thinking, looking too quickly, that it was in Knowledge of Human Cultures. There, you could replace AmGov with SOS-110, but in this instance it would just be World Religions that is replacable. Sorry!

Personally, I would not be cheeky enough to put a 4.0 GPA on my resume that represented only one class...just sayin'.

And don't ask me how many courses before I would feel OK, because I really don't know.

That's respectable - but I mean, it would look worse if you don't put a GPA at all than if you explained that only one course counted as a GPA course IMO.
If they ask why, I can explain how I planned out my whole education myself and that I finished it much faster than I would have traditionally due to the commitment involved. To each their own Smile

I took PLA-100. It was worth it for the GPA in my opinion. Its an easy A, only 4 weeks, no books needed and only 1 credit hour to pay instead of 3. I would suggest William Gramm.

Doesn't necessarily fit in your plan as is, but will count as a general elective.
