GPA / Retest Advice
#1
I think I mentioned this before in a different Thread. I was new to the college experience and at first I was only shooting for a 2.5 GPA. I don't know how this is possible, but when I received my official evaluation from Excelsior they gave me a 4.0 GPA.  Now I'm freaked out because I don't want to lose it. Right now I'm trying to finish up my AAS Tech Studies in Computer technology. I know I can pass the CLEP Nat Science which I need, but I'm going to have to take the Eng. Comp class for the WER and Info Lit. I hope I pass both of those with an "A" or better to maintain a high GPA.

After my Associates Degree, I'll be enrolling for my BS. For that, I'm worried about the Drug and Alcohol Abuse test because I scored a 49 on it which is right on the money for passing. I know that that score will bring my GPA down. I guess my question is, should I retake the test to try to get an "A"??
Or is one test not enough to knock my GPA down that bad.
Please advise.

So youre saying the Tests can effect your GPA?

I have a low GPA now and was hoping that passing these tests would bring it up but didn't think it was possible.
A&I Lit- 62 -- 6 credits
Educational Psych- 47  FAILED
English w/ Essay -57 -- 6 credits

I know that the CLEPs wont, you'll just get a "P" even if you barely pass with a 50. But on the DSSTs you get a letter grade. I'm assuming that with the 49 I got, I'll get a "C" and it will lower my GPA.
